Skip reading out the password — one scan joins guests to your event Wi-Fi instantly, styled to match your signage.
This won't fit in a scannable code yet.
Generated entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is ever uploaded.
The blank border around the code that scanners use to lock on. Don't crop it out when printing.
A styled QR code is only half the job — most people scan it into a phone that's already looking at your invitation. Build the invite itself on Eventic: pick a template, add RSVP tracking, then bring a QR code back to it for the printed side — the save-the-date, the welcome sign, the return-gift card.

Only if they look — most phone camera apps show a "Join Network" prompt without ever displaying the password itself, though a small number of scanner apps do show the decoded text first. If that matters for your network, treat the QR code the same way you'd treat a printed password: don't post it somewhere strangers can screenshot it.
Select WPA as the security type — the Wi-Fi QR format doesn't distinguish WPA2 from WPA3 in the code itself, and both are read correctly by modern phones. Only choose WEP if your router is genuinely still using that much older standard, and "No password" only for a fully open network.
Set security to "No password" in the Content tab — the password field becomes irrelevant and the generated code simply joins the open network directly.
Yes — toggle "Hidden network" on and the code includes that flag, which tells the phone to connect directly by name rather than waiting for a broadcast.
Yes. Both read the same WIFI: QR format natively in their camera apps (iOS 11+, most Android versions from the last several years) — no app download needed on either.
No — like every code from this tool, it's static, so the password and network name are fixed at generation time. Changing your Wi-Fi password means generating and reprinting a new code.

We built this because every other free QR generator we tried buried real customization behind a paywall or stamped a watermark on the download. This one doesn't — see how: everything above runs in your browser, and nothing you type is ever sent anywhere. Read the full privacy policy.
