    New game

Dots and boxes, rebuilt for couples

Take turns drawing a line between two neighbouring dots. Draw the fourth side of a box and it's yours — a heart in your crayon colour — and you go again. When every line is drawn, the most hearts wins.

Play on the classic 4×4 board, the heart-shaped board, or the big date 6×6 for a longer game. Gold ★ bonus boxes are worth two hearts and unlock a question or mini-challenge for the two of you. At the end, download the finished board — proof of who dominates the relationship.

Play live — or on one phone

Tap Play live and send your partner a link. They join with just their name and every line appears on both phones the instant it's drawn — no app, no account. Or pick Same phone and pass it across the table.

    Questions

How do you play dots and boxes?

Take turns drawing a line between two neighbouring dots. Whoever draws the fourth side of a box claims it — and draws again. When every line is drawn, whoever owns the most boxes wins.

What’s different in the couple edition?

Every box you claim becomes a heart in your colour, you can play on a heart-shaped board, and ★ bonus boxes are worth two points and unlock a funny question or mini-challenge for the two of you.

Can we play online, on two phones?

Yes. Choose “Play live”, add your name and send your partner the link. They join with just their name — no app, no account — and every line appears on both phones instantly.

Can we play on one phone?

Yes. Choose “Same phone” and pass it back and forth. The board shows whose turn it is.

    Any tips to win?

Avoid drawing the third side of a box — that hands it to your partner. Late in the game, the player who is forced to open a long chain usually loses it.

    Do you save our games?

Live rooms are kept for a few hours so you can play, then they disappear. Same-phone games never leave your device.
